Lindsay McCullough (Ms. Lindsay) and Sha Grogan-Brown (Mr. Shaun) have been having fun teaching More Than Words Art Club at Silver Spring International Middle School!
Check out all the neat projects our students are working on:
Handmade books out of Recycled Cereal Boxes!
More Than Words students created colorful decorations for the school's International Night...
Paper Molas
Molas are an art form from the Kuna tribe in Panama. Traditional Molas are made from fabric, and usually take over 100 hours of meticulous work to piece together! Our students didn't spend 100 hours on these, but they did find creative ways to use the paper scraps we've been collecting to make some beautiful artwork, Mola-style.

Paper Flowers
Students made huge paper flowers to decorate the tables. (Ms. Lindsay & Mr. Shaun also had fun making flowers, and sometimes crowns out of the tissue paper...)
Banners
More Than Words students made banners to hang in the gym for International Night. They were a big hit!
