Talk and hands-on activity with Laura Kinneberg

You are invited:
Wednesday, August 11, 7pm-
Current Keyholder Artist-in-Residence, Laura Kinneberg, will talk about her work and present a free hands-on activity:

"Rock, Paper, Scissors"
Participants will screenprint templates onto paper and then cut and fold the geologically-inspired forms. Laura will provide the silkscreen burned with 2-3 templates, ink, and a limited supply of paper. These forms can be turned into mobiles, chandelier-like decorations or even lanterns.

Laura Kinneberg has been fascinated and inspired by geology since her first childhood rock collection. In the past, gravel has been a material central to her work. Recently at Pyramid Atlantic she has developed a series of prints and objects about local fossils and minerals. Laura has exhibited in Texas and the DC area and currently teaches at the University of the District of Columbia.
