We are proud to announce that our board member and Book Arts goddess, Kelly O'Brien has an exhibition opening soon at The National Institutes of Health's Clinical Center Gallery. Wanna learn how to Box?

Come get your box-making groove on! Help make steady progress on our goal of 50 clam shell boxes for the Moving Parts book edition. Learn new, or sharpen existing book arts and box building skills, and catch up with other artists.
First and third Tuesdays, 6-9pm, PA main classroom.

Pyramid Atlantic Book Arts Fair and Conference

Calling all book artists, printmakers, papermakers, publishers, collectors, art lovers, and all who are intrigued by the book as art–Save the date! The 11th Biennial Pyramid Atlantic Book Arts Fair and Conference will be on November 5-7 (Friday-Sunday).

It’s still some months away, but we are already in high gear with the preparations. We have been brainstorming and planning lots of exciting things for this weekend book arts bonanza.

Currently there is an open call for anyone interested in doing a demonstration or presentation as part of the fair. This year’s theme is “The Book (R)evolution,” but we welcome all great ideas! You can find the application on the Pyramid Atlantic Book Arts Fair website .

Spring Interns-lst day

Remember how mom or dad used to take a picture of you on your first day of school? Well, yesterday was our spring intern's first day at Pyramid. Aren't they a cute bunch? Not only are they cute, but they are super talented; we are lucky to have them.

Pyramid Atlantic offers internship opportunities four times a year to 2-4 enthusiastic, engaged, and serious-minded college or post-college artists. Our interns assist resident artists, renters, artistic staff, and with printmaking, papermaking and book arts projects. In addition to hands-on experience with artistic projects, interns gain an understanding of the day-to-day operation of a non-profit art center and gallery.
Interns work for Pyramid Atlantic 10 am-4pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week. Interns, in exchange, are given an opportunity to work on their own art in a creative and unique environment alongside experienced art professionals.

And....for the first time this summer, we will also be hosting a month long summer intensive art program. Sorry adults, this is for high school Juniors and Seniors only (yes, we have been asked by quite a few adults if they can be in the class, which gives us some ideas for next summer!)
